A Rogowski coil is a flexible, air-cored toroidal device used for measuring alternating currents (AC) without direct electrical contact. Unlike traditional current transformers, it operates by sensing the rate of change of current (di/dt) via Faraday's Law of Induction, producing a voltage proportional to this derivative. This output is then integrated to yield a signal directly proportional to the gemeten stroom .
